Current Training Opportunities

The La Porte Police Department has a number of Indiana Law Enforcement Academy certified instructors and offers training opportunities in various law enforcement topics for officers from other police agencies. We also occasionally bring instructors from other agencies and private entities from both inside and outside of Indiana to instruct classes. Any costs associated with the training classes are stated in the class information sheets. Any food, lodging or other incidental expenses shall be paid for by the attending officer and/or his/her agency. Unless otherwise stated, attendance at all training classes conducted by the La Porte Police Department is limited to sworn police officers only. Any class requirements will be listed in the class information sheets.
