La Porte Police Department Takes Five Suspects into Custody in Reference to
Stabbing Case
On 04/12/2008 at approximately 6:10 AM,
officers from the La Porte Police Department were dispatched to La Porte Pantry at 102
Lincolnway in reference to a white male victim that had come into the business
suffering from stab wounds. After getting proper medical attention for the
victim, patrol officers were able to locate an initial suspect in the case and
called the on call detective.
After an intense investigation, as
of 2:30 PM on 04/12/2008, five suspects have been taken into custody for the
involvement in the incident. Three of the suspects in custody are male adults
and two are male juveniles. The investigation involved all on duty day shift
patrol officers as well as the majority of the Detective Bureau.
As of the time of this release, the
victim is being treated at South Bend
Memorial Hospital
for multiple stab wounds after being air lifted there and his current condition
is not being released. The victim’s name, age and address are also being
withheld at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
