La Porte Police Department will be Conducting a Citizen’s Police Academy

The La Porte Police Department will be conducting a Citizen’s Police Academy on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM beginning March 4, 2008 and extending through May 27, 2008. The Citizen’s Police Academy will allow the citizens of La Porte County to gain greater insight into the operations of the law enforcement and criminal justice system in general and the operations of the La Porte Police Department in particular. The La Porte Police Department’s Citizen’s Police Academy is open to all citizens of La Porte County.

The Citizen’s Police Academy will have various instructors from the La Porte Police Department as well as instructors from other entities in the criminal justice system in La Porte County. The graduates of the most recent Citizen’s Police Academy found this program to be very interesting and enlightening.
